During the summer of 2009 Miss Dawson and Mr. McMillan partook in an amazing adventure of discovery in the West African country of Ghana. For four weeks the pair travelled across the country learning about Ghanaian cultures and traditions. |

Young people have their sayFriday 7th November saw 11 pupils from Dyke House School (accompanied by Mr Childs and Miss Palmer) joining other young people from Hartlepool to take part in a ‘Face the Young People’ event in the Hartlepool Council Chamber at the Civic Centre.

Students Score A Learning Hat-trick At Local Football Club
Once again, a group of fifteen Year 8 pupils from Dyke House School have begun to ‘Play for Success’ at Hartlepool United Football Club. This 10 week programme of Out of School Learning is based at the Pools Study Support Centre in Victoria Park, the home of Hartlepool United.

Pupils Participate in Tall Ships Event
2010 will be a special year for Hartlepool with The Tall Ships race making a return to our shores. The race planned for 2010 should hold very special memories for two of Dyke House School pupils.
