Personal Development Programme (PDP): Bullying is a social interaction between groups and individuals which lead to conflict of various types and this is because appropriate social behaviour has never properly been established or has broken down. The School aims to deliver, through themes in the PDP, programmes that will hopefully prepare all pupils to deal with bullying. All different teaching styles are incorporated and several themes are covered, amongst them Conflict, Friendship, Assertiveness, Confidence, Self Esteem and Self. Advice to pupils on how to take responsible action against bullying is to be displayed on all Classroom notice boards and throughout the school. The ‘theme’ of bullying is also a regular part of whole school and year group assemblies.
