A wide range of learning experiences takes place everyday at Dyke House School. As a Full Service Extended School we aim to provide greater opportunities for our school children and the wider community. This is achieved through developing a specialist community wing named ‘The Avondale Centre’, which is currently open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8.00am until 9.00pm, Friday 8.00am until 6pm and Saturday from 8.00am until 3.00pm. As part of our continuing service we deliver a range of activities on site through; Adult Education, Sure Start, Primary Care Trust, PATCH, Connexions, Steps to Stage School of Dance, Caledonian Hockey Club, Hartlepool United Football Club and a whole range of Sporting Activities for 50 weeks of the year. In addition to these many activities we provide registered childcare during school holidays from 8.30am until 6.00pm including the option of breakfast and lunch. At Dyke House Full Service Extended School people of all ages matter and this is why we have opened our doors to the Local Community and the people of Hartlepool to provide the service and facilities people want and need.
